In response to the brief of ‘Architectural Abstraction’, ‘Municipal Balance’ aims to capture the relationship and contrasts between repressive urban environments and the diverse, colourful personalities living amidst the brutal architecture.

Using a combination of slip-casting and hand building techniques, each form relies on counterbalanced pieces to stand - decorated with coloured underglazes, a stone matte glaze and a transparent high gloss finish.
